What did we get up to?

It was a very successful conference, with the ever popular CALL Stand well attended as usual. You were able to buy our materials for sale and take our QuickGuides and leaflets away. We also had details about events in the UK and Abroad available.

See some photos and video of the stand, and watch what happened when we escaped to the illuminations at Blackpool for the evening.

    What is it?

Communication Matters is also known as ISAAC (UK) - the UK Chapter of the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC) - and is a core member of the Communications Forum.

The Communication Matters National Symposium is an annual event embracing a wide range of issues relating to Augmentative and Alternative Communication. It provides a forum to meet and exchange information with representatives from all disciplines associated with AAC, including users, parents and carers.

The programme includes a mixture of presentations, including workshops, and video & platform presentations.

    When & Where is it?

CM2003 began with a plenary session and the Communication Matters AGM on the afternoon of Sunday 14 September 2003, and presentations were held on 15 & 16 September in the George Fox Building at Lancaster University. The symposium ended at 4.15pm on Tuesday 16 September.
